Elegy of Salt explores the Great Salt Lake through the lives of two men whose connections to its landscape span generations.

One is a photographer and author whose family history is rooted on Antelope Island, the largest island in the Great Salt Lake. The other is a Shoshone Elder, storyteller, and author whose connection to the lake reaches through generations of Indigenous history.

As the lake recedes and the landscape transforms around them, their stories reveal how a place can hold memory, identity, and belonging - and what we stand to lose when the places that shape us begin to disappear.

A water scene with ripples, overlaid with text that says "ELEGY OF SALT", with handwritten notes around it, including "the lake is changing constantly" and "noisey we cannot hear the earth".
